I just want those poor souls who live across the street from the planned trailhead parking lot to know that if it gets built, I would be willing to trade my idyllic and beloved house for theirs. Don’t they ever go through one of those “Your speed is” areas and realize that they’re really poking along? I’d trade my house … Some people don’t realize how slowly they’re driving. They pay no attention to the light, so they’ll often be sitting at the light four, five, six seconds after the light has changed, and then they’ll drive at 5 to 10 miles an hour under the speed limit. I’ve noticed that a fair number of Longmont residents seem to sit at the traffic lights completely oblivious and pay no attention to the traffic coming from either direction.
